The Pushkar fair is one of the biggest events in India for trading camel, horse, and cattle. But it's not only about the livestock - it's also an important pilgrimage season for Hindus who go to the Pushkar lake. Pushkar Fair 2022 is one of the most awaited events of the year, and it's especially so after the Covid restrictions. Thousands of people travel to Pushkar Lake where the fair takes place - men trading their livestock, which includes camels, horses, cows, sheep and goats; and rural families shopping at the handicraft stalls full of bracelets, clothes, textiles and fabrics. A camel race starts off the festival, with music, songs and exhibitions to follow. Between these events, the most awaited is the test of how camel is able to bring the items.
